| Program Description |
|
The School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management offers a 12-hour graduate certificate in Merchandising. Certificate students complete a plan of study tailored to his or her professional needs (i.e. focus on research skills, increase knowledge base) by using existing SMHM graduate courses. The certificate will provide access to the knowledge, experiences, research skills, and critical analysis offered at the graduate level. In addition, the certificate will provide the recipients with credible documentation of the body of knowledge that they have gained at the University of North Texas.

| Application Requirements |
| Program Application Information: The applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 undergraduate semester hours of work prior to receiving the bachelor’s degree or a 2.8 GPA on all undergraduate work. Applicants who already have completed a master’s degree must have at least a 3.4 GPA on the master’s or meet the undergraduate GPA standards. Applicants whose native language is not English must either present a score of at least 550 on the TOEFL or be a graduate of a college or university in the United States. Note: Scores will be assessed by program coordinator to determine if scores, along with other application materials, meet admission requirements.
