| Course Objectives |
| Addresses retailing concepts in an electronic, on-line setting. Topics include promotional issues, privacy and security concerns, target market assessment, building a customer base, site design, order tracking and shipping. |
| Course Expectations |
| I hope you understand that you will be required to do as much work as you would in my on-campus live classes. You gain the convenience but you must be self-disciplined to succeed. Some of you may have taken or are currently enrolled in my Retailing class (MKTG 4600). Read both syllabuses carefully. They are DIFFERENT! |
| Tests/Quizzes |
| Testing for the course may involve online quizzes conducted on Blackboard that cover ALL required assignments on the COURSE CONTENT page located on the MKTG 4630 homepage via Vista 4.3) . The format for the on-line exams is multiple choice, true/false, and matching. Each exam requires the student to pull together key concepts and are intended to test your understanding of them |
| Major Assignments |
There may be one online web assignment, case analysis or paper.
WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES:
ALL written assignments must be in the following format:
1) Double spaced;
2) Left justified;
3) One inch margins (top, bottom, left and right);
4) Bold or underlined section headers where appropriate;
5) End notes when appropriate; and
6) Emailed as a Word document attachment to hasty@unt.edu. Your email will be
deleted if the assignment is in the message box.
7) 12 point Times New Roman (The only acceptable Font)
All written assignments must be correct as to:
1) Content;
2) Following Instructions;
3) Proper writing style;
4) English usage; No spelling or grammatical errors that would be "caught" by the
Language and spell check programs from WP or WORD. Written assignments must have single spaced in the top left hand corner: your name, course and section number, ID number and Email address, (except for Cover Letters and Resumes.)
Also, all papers should follow a normal and consistent style such as set forth in "The APA Style Book" or "Elements of Writing" (Strunk and White). |
